Alison J. Toumekian Selected to Serve on the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Civics Academy.

Zeldes, Needle, & Cooper is proud to announce that associate Alison J. Toumekian has been selected as an attorney volunteer for the Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Civics Academy. The Civics Academy will consist of approximately 12 judges and 12 attorneys who have been trained to go into classrooms to teach students about civics. The Civics Academy faculty will use a curriculum developed by the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section as part of the Lawyers in the Classroom program. As a former Lawyers in the Classroom volunteer, Ali jumped at the chance to be involved with the inaugural term of the Civics Academy. Ali currently sits on the Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee as the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division District 2 Representative, representing the young lawyers of Connecticut and Rhode Island on the YLD council. She also sits as a member of CBA President Daniel J. Horgan’s Task Force on Assessing and Improving Civility in the Legal Profession. Congratulations Ali!
