Toumekian will be named the 2025 recipient of the Young Lawyers Section Vanguard Award at the Connecticut Bar Association’s Celebrate with the Stars annual awards event on April 9th. This award is presented to a current or recent alum of the CBA-YLS executive committee who has made outstanding and significant contributions to the YLS and the Bar Association in general over a prolonged time period.
Attorney Toumekian has been a member of the Young Lawyers Section executive committee since 2018, serving as the Child Welfare & Juvenile Law Chair and Pro Bono and Public Service Co-Director. Two years ago, Attorney Toumekian was appointed the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division District 2 Representative, a role she currently serves in today. As District Representative, Attorney Toumekian represents the interests of Connecticut and Rhode Island’s young lawyers on the Young Lawyers Division Council and in the Young Lawyers Division Assembly.
Attorney Toumekian’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, pre and postnuptial agreements, and child support matters. She was previously named one of the 2025 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in the area of Family Law. Attorney Toumekian also oversees a wide variety of Connecticut probate and civil litigation matters.
