Attorney Fiano Successful At Trial Defending Claims of Illegal “Balance Billing”

Attorney Sabato Fiano was recently successful at trial in defending allegations of illegal “balance billing” against a client-medical provider seeking to recover unpaid medical bills from a patient that treated over several years.  The patient claimed that the client was not entitled to payment because the client had allegedly engaged in “illegal balance billing” contrary to the client’s agreement with the patient’s managed care health insurance plan.  After subpoenaing approximately 1500 pages of insurance documents, Attorney Fiano was successful at trial in proving that each and every medical charge by the client was legally permissible and owed.  The Court awarded judgment in favor of Attorney Fiano’s client for the entire unpaid balance of the medical services provided.
